My daughter has a "stork bite" on the back of her neck. Some days it's really bad and noticeable so I leave her hair down and other days it looks like a heat rash.

Our pedi said hers should go away when she's 5-6 as well but I don't think it's a big deal. Hubby's birth mark is on his scalp and it causes the spot of hair to grow in white. Has since he was a baby. People used to make fun of him in high school but I think it's sexy. ;)

Quoting Always♥Faithful:" Dd has one on her arm. It was really bright when she was littler and now that she's almost 3, it has lightened up."

I swear some days it looks so much lighter, but then the next it's back to the darker color, it's crazy!

My youngest was born wih a hemangioma. It grew & then scabbed & fell off. It left behind a darker mark bu it's not raised.

My cousin was born with a strawberry mark on her hand. It gets darker when she is pregnant or its summer. It hasn't ever gone away & she's 36.

Quoting Glo♥:" Thank you! But as you saw they do fade it just takes a bit. I was told when she was born it'd be gone ... [snip!] ... I asked and the doctor said it was a birthmark and it would probably fade away never said there would be an issue or anything."

Yeah, we're not really worried about it, more curious than anything lol. I have a lot smaller birthmarks too and and a couple of bigger ones but never had any issues either.

My hubby has one that looks exactly like that down his entire leg. It's not as dark as it was when he was a kid but it's stayed there.

My DD, Dh, and brother have one in the back of their head that kind of looks like that. My mom has one on her arm but its more of a reddish pink and covers more area. Most people think my mom was burned but its just a birth mark she has had her whole life.

My dd has a small one on her leg. She is almost 2 and it is almost gone right now (used to look red/bruised and is now pale, unlike the rest of her skin). The skin on the mark sometimes feels a bit more dry than the rest of her body
