Heathen doesn't have a birthmark. But if it's not bothering her at all, why do anything about it? It's makes her who she is.

DD has one on the back of her head right below her hair line about the size of a thumb print. She is only 5 weeks old though so idk if it's gonna stay or go out lighten or what. .lol

I'm not interested in doing anything about it. Was just curious about other babies and what happened in their case.

it just looks like a strawberry mark or a "port wine stain" to me. It wont hurt her, Id just leave it alone.

OP, my husband has a similar one, near his hip. It's brownish, though. His clearly didn't go away.

My niece has one similar to that on her back. She is almost 6 and still has it.

My partners nephew has one simular on the back of his left arm. He's 5 and a half. His has gotten darker as he gets older. Started pale and now dark red.

My mom and I have the same birthmark. Heathen just didn't end up with it.
I'm almost 30 and it's lightened up since I was a kid, same for my mom. But not a 'by x age' kinda thing

Quoting Glo♥:" Is it red? If it is DD has 3 one by her eye, back of her neck, and scalp they havent gone away yet. I have a birthmark too so does my mother and brother."

See, sometimes it looks red...others purple-ish, others pink-ish...it confuses me! lol

Both of my boys have smaller birthmarks just like that between their eyes on their foreheads. They are slightly different, so that's how I tell them apart.

Dd has one on her arm. It was really bright when she was littler and now that she's almost 3, it has lightened up.

Again, I'm not looking to get "rid of it" or do anything to it. I'm just wanting to see what other's experiences were.
