You have to call and ask them, the policy holder. And/or call the bank and tell them that a $300 payment was not authorized so they cancel it.

It depends on if you set up auto payments or not. If you did, was it monthly payments? I'd call them and tell them they took the wrong amount out and you want it immediately credited back to your bank.

We've asked companies before and they always said that once it was processed they can't reverse it :( we've been in the same spot in the past. Hopefully they can find a way though!

Definitely call. USAA is usually pretty good about helping customers.

Yeah I'm realizing by everyone else's answers that we've been lied too...

I've had that happen with USAA before, they reversed it for us. Our renters/auto insurance payment was supposed to be like $30 and my husband accidentally typed $300.

That's only if you've agreed to the amount they took out. Say she owes $100 monthly, but they took the remaining policy balance of $300. They owe her $200 back, because that was not authorized.

Ok, it's done. lol
I love USAA, I really do.

They went ahead and credited the payment back, I should see it there within 24 hrs. And they helped me reset my automatic payment, apparently when I was setting it up I pressed "full balance" instead of "monthly balance"

*sighs*

I can breathe now.
