I've noticed people seem to fall into styles for middle names, and not necessarily the same style as they hold for FN's.
Dd #1 has a version of my mom's first same (dawn)
Ds#1 has his dad's middle name (Ray)
Dd #2 has her grandmad first name (Evelyn)
Ds#2 has my brothers middle name (Adrian)
Family, which is going to give us trouble if this baby is a girl.
Dd2 on the way: Ann
I think my first two are kinda traditional names. And Ann is a filler name. Only bc this baby's name is hard to pair stuff with lol.
Dexters middle name is Ernest after my amazing Grandad who died a few years ago.
We've got all the names picked out for next 2babies too. (As long as they're a boy and a girl! Lol)
Both of my kids have two middle names. All family names
DD is Renee which I guess could be a filler? Its my middle name and my moms middle name..
DS is Alexander
I pick middles that sound good with the first. Like my sons middle name is Evan. I actually dislike the name Evan but I think it flows well with Alistair. And if I have a girl we want to name her Athena with the middle name Juliette, even though Juliette isn't a favorite of mine.
Family names for my two boys.
My dad died and my first sons whole name is in honour of him (Craig Anthony)
My second sons middle name is his dads first name (Nicolaas)
This baby has what you call a "filler" because I cant find anything that remotely goes with her first name other that.
Half filler, half random lol
my daughters name is Izabella Madelynn Rose
I wanted a name that would like super elegant and fancy on paper, but could be super casual too(shes called bella)
I dont do family names, and I'm not a fan of overly unique names. I dont like misspelled names either, I detest the Isabella spelling, the traditional spelling is with a Z. I actually regret spelling Madelynn that way, it looks nice, but its misspelled lol
I can't stand filler names. The names I plan on using are either creative or "out there" or the honor family.
Names on my middle name list:
Daisy (after grandmother)
Daenerys (yes, I said it)
Walter (after grandfather)
Quoting Manda♥Bella:" Half filler, half random lol my daughters name is Izabella Madelynn Rose I wanted a name that would ... [snip!] ... the traditional spelling is with a Z. I actually regret spelling Madelynn that way, it looks nice, but its misspelled lol"
Isabella is a traditional spelling. Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand, anyone?
My draughts middle name is Lynn which is mine
Easton's is Maverick
This one will be Nicholas
Normal for us? Idk. Our name taste is kinda unusual anyway so an unusual middle name is normal relative to our style.
Kiddo's name is Salem Gael. Gael was chosen for sound and I suppose is our version of a filler name.
Its a combination of things. DS's middles are honoring three people. DD's first middle is a name that we loved as equal as her first but we couldn't choose between the two so we used both. Her second middle is honoring someone.
Another reason for middle's I pick is because they are too crazy or too common to be used as a first name. For DS, I would of used one of his middle names as his first, but it's so ridiculously common.
