HFMD?? Warning-- picture White Chocolate Milk 1 child; Chelsea, Alabama 12303 posts

DS was around a boy who ended up having hfmd. We've been waiting to see if he got it from him or not. Well last night he started getting a few bumps on his bottom. Looked different than just a diaper rash. This morning there were a lot more spots and more rash looking.

Does this look like hfmd? He doesn't have any on his feet, hands, or in his mouth, at least not right now. No fever either.

Sorry I'm mobile can someone post for me?

Damn! We were really hoping he wasn't going to get it. What can I do for him?

Luckily he is still acting fine and is just as happy as ever so he's not miserable yet. I do hope he gets better soon though.

If he's acting fine then i would just let it take its course. My son got it really bad and wouldnt eat or drink so i had to bring him to the ER to get fluids. As long as he eats and drinks then just keep an eye on him. if he starts getting uncomfortable you can give him tylenol and a nice warm bath.

DD had it REALLY bad, the rash was the worst our pedi said he'd ever seen. It just had to run it's course. There is really nothing, treat symptoms. If he's in pain, give him tylenol. Otherwise push fluids and make sure he's as comfortable as he can be.
