Quoting ρiηkie ρie:" I didn't do anything cute with any of my kids. With DD I shoved a still wet pregnancy test in ... [snip!] ... when I found out. I'm over it and excited now but I was gutted then. Maybe do a Redskins onesie? You could make it yourself. "

That sounds like my reaction to my third. We weren't ttc at all and even though I pretty much knew I had to be pregnant, I was in denial. I showed the test to my DH, tears bursting out of my eyes. I felt so terrible for my reaction. I kept shaking the test going, "No, no, no!!!! It can't be right! Erase!" Lol.

I am going to order this baby hat:

(Since my husband is in the army) and have them make an extra us army name tape in pink to put with it just in case it ends up being a girl when it's born, and place it in a box with a congratulations card and a photo of my girls in big sister shirts together, then a pic of the positive test, and if I have one by the time I see him again, I would put an ultrasound picture in there too and give it to him as a present.

Yeah, I knew I was pregnant before I tested too but when I found out I really was Idk, I just lost it. SO didn't say a word, he heard me crying and just leaned against the door. I wasn't ready to be pregnant again at all and we were using condoms religiously too so it was an even bigger shock. I took more pregnancy tests with this baby than any of my other kids because I was so in denial about it. Even posted a really unneeded line spotter thread on here after the first test half hoping someone would say it was an evap or something. I feel bad about how I reacted now too but it is what it is.

Yeah you can't really go back and do things differently now. My biggest fear was that I was afraid I would feel so disconnected with the pregnancy and the baby afterwards and I would feel horrible because I felt like I loved and wanted my first two and didn't want my third. But after I got over the initial shock of being pregnant and saw the tons of support from my family and friends, I was okay and just figured that she was meant to happen regardless of the situation. I was on BC and it was kinda my fault looking back. I had a couple glasses of wine one night on our anniversary weekend, forgetting about the effects of alcohol on BC and ended up conceiving. I am extremely fertile....I could probably do everything in my power to keep from ttc and I would get pregnant. Lol. Hence why this time, my tubes are being tied for sure. But today with her being almost 2, she is just as much a part of my heart as my other two and I wouldn't change having her for anything in the world! :)
