We decided on Scottlyn Kate, and most people like it and think its cute but some people hate it. I do not understand why. My boyfriend's mom came up with Scottlyn, because their family is Scottish and her middle name is Lyn. So Scott + lyn= Scottlyn. We wanted an uncommon name. My name is Brittany and where ever I go there are Brittanys, Brittneys, Britneis, and any other spelling you could think of. I've just asked people to call me Brit.
Am I crazy for naming her this or are some people just jerks?
She will be Scottlyn Kate Bowen
No hate, if you don't like it say so but you don't have to be rude.

I think it's trendy and the spelling is terrible. If you want to honor Scottish heritage, I'd just name her Scotland.

It's not my cup of tea. It seems trendy to me for some reason.
I just have a different naming style, I guess. But it's your womb fruit, so name her what you want.

I have to agree. A name like Scotland Lynette or something wouldn't be so cringe worthy.

Not trying to be rude but it sounds very made up. I'd suggest going with an actual Scottish name to honor to her Scottish heritage.

I really dislike it and it sounds like a boys name.

Reminds me of a Kardashian... LOL.

I don't really like it much. It's too cutesy and the spelling is something I don't particularly care for.

We liked Marceline Kate but I do Not Marcy as a nickname. It sounds too old lady to me. Maybe that's just me?
