DS climbing over me Shelby Chappell Due November 29 (girl); 1 child; Alberta 1575 posts

So one of my DSs' favorite things to do is climb all over me. He has a blast just going from one side to the other. Now I am getting a little worried about him climbing over my belly though. He can get those little elbows and knees in some places and it just hurts. I'm just wondering if I should keep him from climbing over my belly now that I am expecting again or should he be fine to just keep doing it. If this helps he is almost 9 months old and 24lbs.

Baby is well protected in there. My 20 month old still climbs on me. If it hurts, tell him to stop, but that's more because he needs to know hurting isn't play.

It won't harm baby, but it will probably get uncomfortable as you get further along.

I'd encourage him to do it less just for your comfort's sake. haha

It won't hurt the baby. You're only just a few weeks, you fetus is sooo teeny tiny right now. Even if it wasn't, there's plenty of cushioning in there.

He's just nine months & weights 24 pounds. I'm sure baby will be fine. DD is three years old, looks and weights like a fiver + year old and loves climbing on top of me too. She'll out of no where jump in my back, want piggy back rides, etc.

Drives me nuts. She's so heavy but I do it anyways just to please her.

I have two year old twins that still climb on me and I am almost 31 weeks and I still have a very active LO inside me!!! Good Luck because sometimes it is painful and they need to know that hurting mommy isn't the same as playing with mommy!!!
