I guess my ex is a "teen" by your definition... he is 32, doesn't work, support himself or his children and still lives with his mom. :)
I'd say he's immature and irresponsible, which are common teen attributes but do not apply to all teens and are not necessary limited to those in their teens

Meh I'd say he is emotionally a teenager. Not physically, but like I said, to me teenager is state of mind more than an age. Turning 18 or turning 20 doesn't magically make you more mature. Physically, you are not a teen at 20, but emotionally it can happen much sooner than that. The emotional is what counts to me as I think it more accurately describes who people are on the inside vs jus who they are on the outside.

I kinda did. I left for basic training on my 18th birthday. My parents haven't supported me a day since. But I do agree that generally it doesn't happen that way, it takes a little bit to get on your feet.
I think any age that ends in 'teen' is a teenager. Seems like common sense to me.
I had DD1 when I was 18. I was a mother who was also a teenager. Call me a 'teen mom' if you want. It's technically true. I wouldn't call myself that. I just say "I was still a teenager when I had my first kid". Not "I was a teen mom". *shrug* It's just facts either way you put it. You can also be a mother that's a teenager and be an adult at the same time.
