OP, what effects from the MMR vax are you worried about, that you're not worried about with any of the other vaccinations?
Anything serious like a reaction would've happened already, I'm sure

Seizures, brain damage, etc. Those are the main things I was talking about. Just overall problems that could happen. I don't disagree with vaccinations, he's had all of them up to this point. I was just uncomfortable with the MMR. I understand about the autism thing. It still worries me a bit, but I've done research to know that it's a very low possibility of it causing autism.

I've also read, and the Pedi informed me, that reactions can happen 7+ days from the initial vaccine. That worries me, as well. Honestly, I just researched a ton more than I normally do. That's probably what the problem is, haha.

From what I've read and what I understand, it's not a low possibility. Its an impossibility. Clearly we read different things but from what I know that was disproven and there is no connection.

I've read both sides of the debate, which means I've read it's impossible as well. I don't for sure know which one is true, which is why I said low.

But negative reactions aren't only caused by that one vaccine. So I think you should relax, if other vaccines don't worry you, don't let this one worry you, either. Just keep an eye on him and the injection site.

I hope this post didn't offend anyone. I wasn't trying to make this about pro vax/no vax or the autism debate, I promise. I was just stressed because of a choice I made, that's all. Just venting.

Thanks. I definitely will. Maybe my anxiety is just getting the best of me.

You're okay. Is this your first? I know that when my son was first born I beat myself up over everything. It would freak me out and I would be upset and then start reading even more stuff that would freak me out. Eventually I realized that stuff that had already happened I can't change so I just have to take it with a grain a salt and keep being the best mom I can.

Yup, he's my first. And that sounds like exactly how I am, honestly lol. I suppose it's a pretty normal thing. :)

It's pretty normal lol. But that's okay it just means you're concerned. When they start moving so much that you can never make them stop, and then they are jumping and falling off of everything was the worst for me lol.

I understand! I vax and each shot I was super nervous. I am so thankful that my son hasn't had any unusual reactions to his vaccinations.

This!! The research has been proven to be false and the dr who did the research has had his license revoked for fraudulent data.

OP, just to make you feel less guilty (which I don't believe you should), we have had an outbreak of measles over here recently and adults and children who weren't vaccinated have died from it.
