Quoting Zoeyy:" Haha. That's going to be me and my SO! I'm going to look into it right now! Thanks for the advice mama. :)"
You're very welcome! You'll be speaking Spanish in no time!
To encourage fluency everyone is going to have to speak BOTH.
A former BF of mine was divorced but he and his X had a policy of switching language each Sunday at 5pm. So, this forced everyone to speak each language VERY well in the comfort of their own home.
Quoting FroggysMommy:" Kids brains are wired for language. It is almost second nature to learn a second, or even third, or heck, ... [snip!] ... the brain, it raises IQ, and our brains are not really wired to learn one language, we are wired to learn multiple languages."
Thnaks for the info Mama. But, I was more worried about just not knowing what my child is saying or talking about since I only know English and that some family on my SO's side only speak Spanish. But, I'm just going to learn.

That's actually every interesting but a smart idea. I actually like the thought of having both spoken in the house. I was just thinking using Spanish when needed but i like this idea a lot better. Thanks!
Quoting Kayla [:)]♥:" Immerse yourself in the language. Have your SO speak only in spanish to you, you'll figure it out, or have him speak to you only in spanish certain days. Seriously, you'll catch on! :)"
Yeah, that's what someone else was saying. and i like that idea.i want to be able to communicate just as well as my SO will with our kids in Spanish. Thanks!
Quoting Kayla [:)]♥:" It'll be tough at first, and confusing. He'll have to make it obvious for you so you understand, but ... [snip!] ... with little words, speak half half, and then eventually you will be almost fluent. It's a great and effective way to learn!"
Thanks for the advice! I already know little sentences and stuff just by being around him but, I'm ready to learn more!
