As far as I'm concerned they've never been private. Here nor anywhere else. Yet, you do not have someone listening to your conversations 24/7. If so, I'd be fucked.

I am horrified by what is going on in our nation right now. Truly horrified.
But, one of the motivations for the invasion of our privacy IS VOTING and manipulation. It's ALL about voting and getting on the ballot.

Yes, they HAVE been private. You used to have to be suspected of a crime to have your phone records collected by the government. That changed recently.
Our government didnt trample over the 4th amendment for millions of people a short time ago.
