Well I am happy to hear this isn't a common thing.....poor kids...I want to say something but its none of my business.

If my parents ever tried that crap on me I would of just become extremely resentful and probably lose my respect for them..I was very strong willed/ independent ....luckily my Dad did alt of lecturing and no extreme punishment....I have a feeling my son is going to be like me.

I wouldn't even do that as a prank on an adult. That is abuse.. Especially in our shitty society of todayness

Something like this could happening know it's not that pepper but still it's dangerous and abuse!

No. Way!! That's abuse. No one deserves that kind of "punishment".

Omg! Definitely not letting my son shake the chili powder! He loves to shake spices out on our food.
That poor baby

Like a charm. I'm a reeeaaallly bad example though. Nothing my mom did worked on me. The more she tried the worse I acted. In hindsight, I really was an awful little shit. 8)

We always got soap if we talked back or said a bad word. My cousins blew bubbles with it so they got tabasco sauce. It was horrible.

Never would I use a spice, condiment or non-food item (that can be toxic none the less) to abuse my child. I won't even call that a punishment.

I'm against using ANY kind of punishment where someone is made to ingest something.

It's degrading and dangerous. The one time my mother washed my mouth out with soap, I vomited for I don't know how long! That was the last time she ever did that and even though I was very young, I still remember it. It was that painful.

My brother had his mouth washed out as a child. I remember him screaming. This just makes my blood boil.

I think it shows how uneducated they are about proper discipline techniques. Really, you can't get your four year old to stop talking back to you? Really? You are a grown ass woman, and you can't handle a four year old so you physically hurt him? Bravo. BRAVO. You are woman of the year, for sure.
