White is for virgins, off-white is for someone who gave a hj/bj, red is for hookers, and black is for a succubus.
I'm totally kidding lol.

Never getting married again, but if my BF and I have a commitment ceremony, I'm going to wear a sexy as hell red dress, 'cause I'm a slut. ;)

I think wearing black is more questionable than wearing white :D.. Well I had attended a wedding where the bride was wearing a black wedding dress but she was still looking gorgeous. She even had to request that every guest should wear something in black and white. So it looked like we're going to a funeral.lol

Outdated and ridiculous.
My dress was very, very light blue with cream lace. No reason, just loved the dress, but my (very traditional, very Norwegian) grandparents were appalled.

I wish it showed up well in pictures. Should have invested in a good camera back then, the blue color is completely lost because of glare :(

I wore an "ivory" dress to my wedding, but it was pretty white looking to me lol. At the time I had an 11 year old daughter, and I had a was about 5 weeks pregnant and didn't know it yet either. I don't care and I don't think anyone should. Just be happy you're getting married, that's what I did. I didn't go into those kinds of traditions, though my wedding was very traditional despite being non-religious.

So outdated, but yes I've heard of it.
White dress=purity.
