Quoting ♥ pinkman:" I feel like it's so childish of me to want him to say it first and not say it before then but now I've just built the moment up so much in my head and just want it to be perfect."

Aw, I can understand where you're coming from. But if you build up this perfect moment and it doesn't go exactly as you planned it in your head, you may be in for a disappointment. Or you may not appreciate it as much if it doesn't go as planned.

Just try to go with the flow. Wait it out a bit longer if you'd like. But I wouldn't keep that kind of feeling hidden for too long. Good luck!

I told my SO that I loved him five months into the relationship. He didn't say it back, and I swore he never would. Six days before our one-year anniversary, he finally said it back. It drove me nuts, to the point where I almost considered ending our relationship, just because I felt like he didn't feel strongly about me.

But now we're talking marriage, he's coaching my son's little league team, blah, blah, blah.

Before him, I had never been the first to say it, and I had never been with someone more than two months or so without them saying it to me (not that I always said it back  ). So it was stressful and nerve-wracking!

This sounds EXACTLY like me!!

I texted it to my SO, just in case he was like "what?" I could pretend it was a drunk text
