DS came home at 7lbs and 20in. We had newborn stuff (which he wore for 6 weeks) but he pretty much lived in those gowns and swaddled. I could have done it if I had to, but it was SUPER nice to have nb IMO. :)

I had an 8 pounder and she wore NB for a few weeks. I wouldn't skip it.

Yeah I think I might go out and at least buy NB sleepers. The onesies honestly look the same length, just wider in 0-3 for Carters. I cant decide. If I knew what I was having I would just go out and buy everything... But since were keeping it a surprise im trying to only buy the bare minimum, and I already had a handful of 0-3m gender-neutral clothing mixed from my kids.

I planed on skipping the Nb size with my last baby since my second child was 8 lbs and only wore Nb for a few weeks and totally could have just skipped the size . We didn't buy a single Nb thing with our third then I went into labor early and had to rush out to get stuff so this time around I picked up a few things and i'm using some clothes from friends just in case .

I didn't buy any newborn outfits this time. I spent a lot of money on newborn clothing with my previous son and he only wore it for 4 days. He was 7lbs 9 ounces...He grew fast!!!!
