Hey ladies! This is a post and run, I am at work! But I am very interested in getting some opinions and advice! So I applied for an apt the other day, and I got it! Yayyy!! This is just a scary thing for me because I have always lived at home with my parents, and I think you all know, it's hard to live with your parents especially when you have a child. I am 24, about to be 25 here in just a couple weeks; I think it's time for me to spread my wings and not be with mommy and daddy anymore... It's just very scary!! And this way my daughter who is 4 will have her own room and space for her toys and all and it won't be all cluttered everywhere! I just would like some opinions and advice as to how it was when y'all got your own place alone or how it is... Anything is appreciated!! Thank you in advance!!
You are an adult. You have responsibilities. One of those is providing for your child on your own. You can't rely on mom and dad to put a roof over your head. Take the apartment, and start being independent.
I've been living on my own since I was 16. The thought of being "alone" at first was scary... but you have your child. That is all you need. You get used to it fast. Promise.
Yes. It's time to move out.
If you can afford it and things won't be tight, I'd go for it.
Go for it. Who wants to live at home with their parents at 25 unless you have to get financially stable first. Which I would say you had a great amount of time to do. I have live on my own ever sincw I graduated highschool and wentto ccollege. Its the best feeling having your own place and privacy.
I loved loved loved having my own place! Ive been out of my moms house since I was 14, but lived with boyfriends A LOT. When I was 25 I had my OWN apartment and its was awesome.
So nice to have things they way you want, do things the way you want, no rules but your own - I say go for it and go quick.
holy crap i dont think i could stand living at home for that long.
ive been lucky enough to be able to make it on my own but god...sharing that much space, having to follow someone elses rules while raising a kid....no way.
if leaving is an option, go for it lol.
I would go insane at 24 with my parents. I moved out as soon as I turned 18. Best decision I ever made.
As long as you can handle the responsibility of bills and have a reliable job, you'll be fine.
I know how you feel, i moved out for the first time in november when i got married. Living on your own is scary and yes it is hard, but i am soooooooo much more relaxed and happier than when i was living with my parents. My advice is to budget everything and stick to it.
