If you formula feed what water do you use in the bottle? Striaght from tap? Boiled water after its cooled? Bottle water? Nursery water?
I use warm water straight from the tap and am tired of hearing how that's gonna make my baby grow up to be retarded and kill his brain.
I used bottled water because I myself won't even drink tap.
Just tastes to chlorinated (mine does anyway)
I'm sure your baby will be fine.
For the first few months nursery water after that tap
I always used tap, but it was filtered. I don't like the chlorine taste, and I don't like the fluoride they put in, and my filters get all that out.
We got the refillable jugs from walmart and used that water
Cooled boiled water. Here it's recommended to use boiled water till 12 months. And the water where I live is horrible anyway so I wouldn't use it without boiling first.
Depends on your city. Check their water reports.
I just use tap water. BUT, I have heard that you shouldn't use warm tap water.. Only cold and then warm it afterwards.
There's a ton of chlorine, salts, sometimes flouride, and who knows what other solids in there. I don't drink tap and I wouldn't expect a baby to. Im very accustomed to drinking purified water, but every once in a while we run out and I have a glass if tap, it smells so much like chlorine that it feels like I'm drinking bleach water. And I swear it Burns my throat. Granted I am used to purified clean water so its a lot more potent to me than someone who is used to tap water. That being said, to each their own I just wouldn't ever give it to my baby if I did formula feed.

ive heard that too, but at the same time your not suppose to put it in the microwave so then you end up having to boil water anyway to warm the water in the bottle up and it takes 15 minutes to do that and at 4:00 in the morning when I am half asleep fixing a bottle while my son is screaming for food I am not gonna spend 15-20 minutes letting him scream his head off probably to the point of throwing up so I can do things the "proper" way, KWIM?
I have had friends hound me about using tap water with my baby asking if I knew how dangerous it was and blah blah blah. It's not something I'm worried about. We drink tap water and so does she, and we live in an area where the water is OK. At the pedi they ask me if I have city water and if I use it for her bottles. Some people insist on using bottled water... You might be interested to check out the movie "Tapped" ... Bottled water isn't all we think it is!

I definitely do!! Lol
I used to warm my daughter's bottles and then I realized that she didn't mind it cold so I just stopped warming them. Have you tried this with your son? It is definitely easier!

yeah that's what my pedi asked to when I had to switch to formula, she has no problem with it, and where we live our water is good as well. If we have bottled water my husband will drink the crap out of it and a 24 pack will only last a week maybe half a week and we just cant afford to be going out and buying THAT much bottled water and nursery water. I mean hell my son drinks like 6 8 oz bottles a day along with plain water with his meals. We would be broke if we were buying bottled water and/or nursery water for his bottles, just a gallon of nursery water where we are is $4 and some change with tax.
