How long is it acceptable to bleed before it's a concern? DS#1 is 2.5, he fell & gashed his knee open. That was around 6pm- it's 9pm now and still bleeding. He went through and out of one bandaid and I just put two more on it. His doctors are concerned that he may be a "free bleeder" but they aren't sure yet. He cut his thumb and bled for 12 hours before it had to be derma-bonded (over night, not 12 hours straight during the day).
TIA for your responses.
How much is it bleeding?

Bleeding for three hours is not good, take him to er or urgent care.
You know the water-proof band aids that have the characters on the? He filled one of those up and it was coming out.
I'm mobile; but I can post a pic of his knee...well a link.

! Try propping his leg up so blood stops goin down. Like they tell you to hold stuff above your heart. One bandaid isn't a lot of blood
I cleaned his knee and changed the bandaids. I know it looks rough though lol.
The only reason I'm worried is because the free bleeding thing. Here's the pic with the new bandaids.
