Thank you! I am so confused by the two comments on here defending her!!

thats sad. I find the whole vaseline on the genitles very WEIRD, 4 days in a ROW having a sitter, and her having sex at 2wks PPD all very............ immature?

my first son was babysat for the FIRST time, overnight, at 2 1/2wks old- by my mom... first night i got to sleep more then 3 1/2hrs of straight sleep but then not again for 3-4 wks. She would do it usually once a month, just so i could sleep, so my SO went back to work when baby was 4 days old i believe. I personally wouldnt wanna leave him more then that one time overnight, or with 3 different people 3 days in a row. AND I was terrified to have sex before 6-7wks, because of pregnancy.....

Yes. Yes and Yes.

Doesn't make it ok though.

If I choose to lock my child in his room all day because i dont want to deal with him, it doesn't make it ok just because he's mine.

Maybe you and her should make a 'mom group' since you obviously know the right ways.

You cannot compare abusing a child to finding a responsible sitter to care for them. Its a huge insult to every working mother or SAHM who has ever needed a break.

It is not me who is claiming to know the right ways, it is you who is being judgemental and acting superior.

she isn't a working mother though, from what i can tell. And what mom goes back to work at 1-2 weeks PP??
All we are saying is she should stop dumping her newborn son off to different people everyday and actually spend time with him! I babysit for working moms and none of them are eager to leave their babies and get away like this mother sounds to be.

she doesn't work...

It's just not typical of a mother to never give a shit and the baby is only 3 weeks old.

It doesn't matter if she works, my point was that having someone watch your child is not abusive.

If she truly "doesn't give a shit about him" (which is something your are assuming based on THREE DAYS of babysitting and some sex) than maybe she truly does have PPD, PPP, or an attachment disorder.

Good on her for taking care of herself and making sure the baby is safe and well cared for during this adjustment.
