OP, chill out. Honestly, you sound a little greedy and bitter right now, whether you mean to come off like that or not.

Yeah the help is great but you need to have a little patience and let the system work itself out.

I'm not looking to argue.
the passport thing is obviously a red flag.
and i never said that this was some urgent issue. it was a simple question.
and frankly, it plays a big role in my life at the moment. so just because it's not big deal to you doesn't mean that you have to try to undermine my situation.

I think it's just typically a processing time thing. Nothing to worry about. As long as it's being taken out

Sorry that i'm coming off like that? i thought it was just a question.
i've never had to deal with the child support system so i was seeing if this was something i should call about or not. that was all.

Wait....how is the passport thing an obvious red flag? Is he not allowed to go on vacation?

It is recommended that you always have an updated passport.

And the thing you need to understand is what he does, is his business and your life would be a whole lot easier if you kept your nose out of it. We are speaking from experience, not to bash you but most of us single moms on this forum have been dealing with BD issues WAY longer than you have.

The only advice I can give you, is to have patience. The Child Support offices deal with thousands of cases every day, so they are slow to get things going. You are learning that first hand and as the years go by, that is never going to change.

In Minnesota, on the Minnesota Child Support website, after log in it lists the types of ways that enforcement can be done by them regarding losing a license, contempt of court, garnishments, etc. It has on there also whether or not there is a passport restriction due to arrears.
My ex husband has never been in arrears for anything regarding our daughter so this isn't something that I have ever had a problem with. This is on the Minnesota child support website.
I think possibly other states have this same type of thing? I am not sure though
