My 14 month old will not eat... She rather just take her sippy, run off and play. Its at the point where she is losing weight and is no longer fitting in her clothes. The pedi said not to force her to eat so I am at a loss of what to do. Any suggestions on how to get her to eat? I made french toast and eggs today and she just threw it all on the floor.

This. Or maybe try different places to eat like highchair or standing, tv off music on. away from toys, playing with toys coming to you for a bite. DD gets weird sometimes on eating but a change of scenery sometimes helps. GL hope she eats fo ryou!

Pediasure and put out "snacking" foods for her to come by and grab while she continues to play such as fresh fruit, raisins, cherrios ect.

Dont let her run off. Thats one thing I started early on with my son. You need to sit and eat and there is no running off or bringing toys to the table allowed. Turn the tv off etc because given the chance any kid at that age rather play than eat. I would try those pediasure drinks to.

My 15 month old gets put right into the highchair when he gets up. He gets puffs/cereal and a fruit pouch first thing in the morning. Simetimes a cereal bar/muffins, depends on his mood. If Im going to fix a big breakfast, he is in his chair waiting with a snack. He doesnt get to get up to play, he has to eat first.

Try finding convienient food/snacks thatll keep her grazing and interested.

My boys graze at lunch.. I put their food on the ottoman and they come and go..

Try pediasure..make your own smoothies. If I have learned anything ftom two busy have to sneek in any nutrition you can. can try a booster seat instead of a highchair.

I think it is partially the age! My DS will be 14 months in 10 days! He likes to eat but he "grazes" all day! He doesn't eat much when I sit him down to eat, but I peel apples and give him that to run around with while he drinks his sippy! I also put some fruit ad stuff on the table for him to eat and he comes back and grabs it when hes hungry! Maybe try adding some pediasure to her diet or toddler formula?

Thanks for the ideas I will let her play around and eat some fresh fruit, hopefully. I'll have to add pediasure to the grocery list.

She eats at the kitchen table in her high chair with BD and I. She sits there until everyone is done eating even if all her food is on the floor. Then once she gets out she runs into the living room and starts playing. So she is not in front of a tv or anything of that nature.
