Someone in my twin group named their twins Indiana and Lilah.. Would you ever name your kid after a state?
maybe it was after Indiana Jones!
Georgia isn't bad. I don't think Arizona is too bad either. Though personally, no I wouldn't name my kid after a state.
It's not a state but I had a friend with twin girls and she named them Russia Hope and London Faith I thought it was kind of different and cute but I probably wouldn't name my kid Russia but London isn't bad
My middle name is Virginia. :(
lol... After my great-grandmother, so I guess I can deal with it. But no, I wouldn't name my child after a state.
my middle name is Virginia too, and I like it! lol I think it depends on the state would i want a child named Ohio? no lol
Maybe the middle name if it flows with the first name
Quoting KaityBoo:" my middle name is Virginia too, and I like it! lol I think it depends on the state would i want a child named Ohio? no lol"
I have a couple friends who are HUGE ohio fans, so maybe just maybe!
OP: no I could not name my child after a state!
I live in Canada, so it may not be the same for me...but I would consider using a couple of state names.
As in Georgia, Carolina, and possibly Nevada.
I love Indiana Jones.
Other usable state names:
Georgia (though I would probably use Georgiana as the full name)
Louisiana (nickname Louise/Louisa. My grandmother is from Louisiana and Louise is her middle name)
I would use Indiana, its no different than Georgia and Carolina to me. I wouldnt use a state like Utah for a name.
