Everyone says I should consider having my tubes tied.
I see their point, how with every pregnancy I'm in poorer health than the last and I know I can't afford a bunch of kids.
But I feel so young... Too young.
Not being able to reproduce is a fear of mine, I just can't explain why though.

If you don't want to or have any doubts you should not do it. IUD's have almost the same failure rates and are not forever. They are a better option if you're unsure at all. It needs to be your choice, not anyone elses.
get an IUD or something non permanent?
It's not fair to the kids you have to have more if you can't afford them and it puts you at risk.
I know I want to do something more permanent. But I don't want something forever.
I'm debating iud or tying.
I'm only 20, I might establish myself better and want another baby one day.

There isn't anything "more permanent" really.
IUD's are not permanent. They may last 3 years or whatever, but they are not permanent. Tying your tubes is permanent. You might be able to reverse it, but that is expensive and it may not work at all, so it should only be considered a permanent.
permanent is forever. So if you don't want something that is forever, you do not want your tubes tied. Go with an IUD.
Dude, if this is a girl, you really ought to just close up shop. 3 kids is bananas! haha.
I don't know about the state you live in but here in ga they want tie your tubes unless you are 25 and orhave 4 or more kids. Someone told me it's against the law to do it before you are 25 unless it's life threatening idk how true it is though you should talk to your doctor. But I personally would not do the iud it caused all kinds of health problems for me and alot of other people I know. I will never do it again but I am also tieing my tubes after this one but I am almost 29 years old and expecting my 3rd girl.
My doctor here in WI will not do a tubal ligation(sp?) until the woman is 25 and has at least 3 children. I'm 25 and due with baby #4 July 1st and I STILL don't really want to go such a permanent route. I had the Mirena and loved it. Worked great for me so I'm thinking that instead of doing something so permanent I will get that again since at this point in time I don't want anymore kids but am not 100% on that and I don't want to do anything that I will really regret later..Ask your doctor about the options that you have,do research on which ones appeal to you and go from there :)
I know how you feel I'm 21 and me and my husband are expecting our 2nd and aren't wanting no more then 2 or 3 as of right now but then he wants me to go get my tubes tied. I'll be so young and honestly could see me wanting another baby by the time my little ones now are older and I want that to still be an option.... So idk that i'll ever be willing to get my tubes tied. My Mom had three girls and then tied her tubes because she had really hard high risk pregnancys and even she wish she hadn't and wanted more after a few years of tying them.
I had my tied at the age of 22 and regretted doing it. I had a tubal reversal at the age of 37 and it was expensive. You are looking at $8,000 - $10,000 and that was the cheapest place we found. Insurance didn't pay for it so we had to come up with the money. Think long and hard before you have your tubes tied .
If you're only 20, don't do something permanent unless you are 100% you do not want more children. There are other form of non- permanent birth control. I'm 27, pregnant with my 4th child, and am having my tubes tied at the end of this pregnancy. My reasoning is, I feel like my family is complete and my pregnancies are extremely hard on me. I'm sick the entire time and just drains me. I am 100% confidant I am done having children. And like others have said, a lot of dr's wont do it unless you are a certain age, and have 3+ children.
