My daughter starts JK in the fall and it would be great if we could practice name writing.
Don't do all capital letters... they don't like that. Lol All I did was write their name and have them practice. One day at a time, take it slow. They both picked up on it right away.
Write her name with a highlighter. Have her trace with a pen.
That's what we used to do at the daycare.

Genius! Never would have thought of that.... lol
I write out letters with polka dots and DS connects the dots, or write in pencil and he goes over it with a thick marker.
I do the same as the other ladies just have them trace the dotted letters but I also have bought a can of cheap shaving cream from the dollar store and sprayed some on the table and let them practice writing letters with their little fingers. They love it!
My brother showed no interest in writing until we got him some bath crayons for Christmas and I went in one day to wash his hair and he had letters written all over the tub. I had been trying to get him to write his name on paper for weeks and he just didn't want to do it after the first two or three letters he would give up. In the tub it took me about 10 minutes and he had written his name all by himself.
