do some people just like to take their time pooping? My son is 5 and he takes FOREVER to poop. He will sit there 15-20 min with the door open downstairs so he can watch TV or he will bring toys in to play with. My husband is the exact same way. My two girls and I are in and out in no time. Is this a guy thing or what?

I know this is an odd question, LOL. Today at therapy my son's therapist talked to me because Levi(my son) needed to poop during their OT session. He was in the bathroom for a good 5 min and she was concerned so she checked on him. He said he couldn't go. She was worried he was constipated so she asked about it. I hadn't really thought about the fact that he does and always has taken his sweet time pooping as do most the men I know. LOL My Dad is the WORST!

I don't think it's a guy thing, I think it's just a thing.

My hubby and I are both in and out.

Whereas my best friend takes her time, reads magazines and usually takes 20 or so mins.

They HAVE to be! LOL I just never realized it started so early. I'm going to have to teach him to shut the door soon because if he's ANYTHING like his Dad I don't want the door open for that! LOL

DS takes forever too.
He'll want to have a conversation or start singing a song. I have to keep reminding him that he's going poo lol.

Its not just my SO! I never realized it could just be a guy thing I just thought it was the difference in diet between me and SO. I eat tones of vegetables and fruits and drink tones of water while its a pain to even get SO to eat salad with a meal and he won't touch the fruit I put in his lunch and pretty much only drinks coke. (hard to believe he's the skinny one in this relationship) I just assumed that's why I am always in and out and he takes 20 minutes.
