At 28 weeks 5 days pregnant our beautiful daughter has made her arrival and she is PERFECT. She weighs 2lbs 12oz and she i15 inches long. She will be in the NICU for about 2 months.. But she is doing wonderfully. Her o2 is through a cpap, she is only receiving 24% oxygen and doing the rest of the breathing on her own. Her labs came back perfectly normal. Now if mommy wouldn't be in so much pain from the emergency c section we would be good.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. My youngest daughter was born at 27 weeks, she is almost 4 now.

It sounds like she is doing great, if I remember correctly when she is down to 21% on the cpap, she is on room air, so she will be totally breathing on her own then, the cpap just helps them keep their lungs inflated, so they don't have to work as hard.

I will be honest, it will be an emotional roller coaster, but there is a preemie moms chat thread, so please feel free to come in and chat with us. http://forum.baby-gaga.com/about1074382-313.html#lastpost

I hope you feel better soon!
