If I HAD to choose, the first one.

But why don't you just spell it Kellan? The y makes it feel more girly to me, and looks weird.

For his Dad...it's actually a family name and I'd go with the "usual" spelling but then the name doesn't mean the same to us. Thanks :)

With the Y it makes it look totally girly. Kellen is a good name

Kellen.....it's the "Kell" enough of a spin?

Although, I would really encourage you to give your child their own name.

If you want to honour his father, use Kelly as the middle name.

This was exactly what i was thinking. Lyn is more of a girlish name.

Lyn makes me think feminine. I think Kellan is perfectly fine like that.

I have to agree with everyone else, I keep wanting to say Kelly-enn when I read it. It's a throw off.
