This stems from another members post.

I didnt even think about this until JUST now.

My son was born 39weeks, induction.

He was born with bradycardia, sleep apnea, and GERD.

I had a rather large SCH that was discovered at 5 weeks into my pregnancy, they monitored it closely with ultrasounds. That healed at 13 weeks....

There were other factors the Doctor said may have been the cause of his problems, but I'm wondering, Could the Subchorionic Bleed have had some part in his problems?

I tried to find research and articles on the effects on newborns whom had SCH's but I'm not cropping up very many results,

i know it's early, any info is appreciated though

I'm not sure. I had one also, found at 7 weeks by heavy clotted bleeding. It was around till nearly 14 or so weeks. But my DD was a 35 weeker born by induction. She weighed 7lb 12.5oz lol and no health problems

My last baby had 2 very large SCH and I had lots of heavy bleeding. They told me I had a 50/50 chance of miscarrying. The SCH actually shrunk, grew bigger and then shrunk again, didnt go away until 20 weeks. She also had a bilobed placenta.

She hasnt had any real issues, although A LOT of colic in the first few months. She now has pertussis and hasnt gained weight in over a month... Urg. But I doubt any of it has anything to do with the SCH

I had a SCH with my son discovered at 7/8 weeks and it cleared up around 13/14 weeks. He was born at 39 weeks by induction. He weighed 9 lbs 9 oz and had no health problems besides complications from delivery. (cord around neck and shoulder distocia)
