TTC after a ruptured ectopic pregnancy question Mama Ang loves her girls TTC since Jan 2011; 51 kids; Reno, Nevada 2830 posts

This may be a stupid question and I always forget to ask my ob/gyn when I see him but I was wondering if after a ruptured ectopic pregnancy (where you have had one tube removed) will your body still release an egg on that side even though there is no tube for it to travel down? The reason I am asking is because I always wonder if maybe my body is saying Im O'ing but I am only actually O'ing every other month. I hope that made sense.

Would you still the LH surge? Mine was also the right tube. I have strong O pains and bad periods so I can never tell which side I am O'ing on. I just baby dance when I start getting positive OPK's. Did you have anymore LO's after having your ectopic? And if so how long did it take you to get pregnant?

I'm a little different because I lost my right ovary and tube, but I wanted to let you know that ttc only took us 3 months with one ovary/tube :)

Ironically I get bad ovulation pains on the right side still from time to time. I think they are phantom nerve pains or something.

Ugh I had the ruptured ectopic pregnancy last year on my b-day (April 17th). I feel like all of this trying in totally in vain. I swear this is never going to happen for us!!!!

Sorry for your loss. We have had nothing but problems since I have my 2nd MC in Jan of 2011. I swear this has been a serious uphill battle for us.

Some friends and family say I can count my ectopic as a loss or be emotionally hurt by it because I wasn't far enough along for it to count!!!! I swear it doesn't mean that it still doesn't affect me!!!

Wow she sounds like a peach. I just try to look at it like sometimes people dont understand because they've never been through it.

The pain is horrible. How long ago did your ectopic happen?

I O'd last week...
I had surgery 7 weeks ago, embryo removed but tube in tact.

Oh so you just had your ectopic recently. I lost my right tube. It has been very frustrating because my body is still whacked out since my mc back in Jan of 2011. How have you been feeling since surgery? Other then the painful o'ing?

I've been okay. I was in a lot of pain for the first week or so. I went back to work about a week after my surgery. I was really bloated for a few weeks.

Still out of whack after that long? I feel like my body is back to normal pretty much. My cycles are usually 27-32 days long. I got my first AF 26 days after the surgery. I O'd on CD 17 which is about right for me... which means AF should arrive around CD 30-31, right on time.
