if you live in a house someone else owns, but you pay half the bills, do you think it's wrong to have another baby? does it matter if the person who owns the house is all for it?

If I had roommates they sure as hell wouldn't be dictating my reproductive cycle.

Still if you're paying half the bills, same scenario. You're not just a mooch. You're paying your way.

I've actually been in this situation.
I wouldn't suggest adding another. It didn't end well for me. There were other issues, of course, but my relationship with my MIL quickly deteriorated due to having another child.

I think it would be different if your MIL lived with YOU. Know what I mean? If she was in your house and not the other way around.

this is part of why i'm putting it off. she already has expectations that she feels aren't being met. i'm working on improving them and getting DD where she's "easier" before having another. by the time we plan to get our own house though, too much time will have passed and DD will be too old. i don't want that big of an age gap.

but i do get what you mean.

The age gap isn't that important, especially if you only have two kids.

Having another would mean you'd stay dependent on living with them longer, rather than being able to get your own home to raise your children in- and it'll rile up your relationships.

When the house is soaked in cat piss and you're too scared to let the kid you already have down on the carpets because they're so dirty.... yeah.

I wouldnt say it's wrong. It just wouldn't be smart to do so, if you NEED them though. Like as in, you would struggle to live if you had to pay FULL bills, rent, the works... Otherwise, it's whatever. Go for your life.

we could do it, but like i said, there are other factors of why we're living here. but thanks.
