SO likes stir fry and I want to surprise him and cook dinner. Im not very good at cooking. I know he likes mushrooms, what else would be good in stir fry? Zucchini? Bell peppers? And any tips for cooking it?
Im thinking about making that, boiling small red potatoes and doing steaks on the grill :D Is ribeye good? I was thinking about trying that cut of steak
Stir fry is nice and easy, I'd get some asian veggies like baby corn, water chestnuts, and snap peas for it too. Also maybe some broccoli and carrots.

If you're going to do steak, you could do kabobs instead. And marinate the veggies and steak in the sauce you would normally use for stir fry. I usually put carrots, zucchini, pea pods, water chestnuts, bell pepper, onion, and broccoli in mine. But for kabobs I would do onion, bell pepper, mushroom, and zucchini.
I use, mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, broccoli, onions, cauliflower, thinly sliced carrot, and some bok choy (sp?)
Also, just brown your protein in some oil (we use tofu, but you could use chicken) and once it's a starting to get cooked add sauce and veggies until the protein is browned and the veggies have a nice texture. Serve it over rice.
Any veggies will work.
You can buy something called Wok oil that already has garlic and other typical spices infused into the oil to save time (most major grocery stores should carry it in the Asian section).
Just put pieces of a meat or poultry of your choice into thin slices, cook through first and then add the veggies. It usually takes hubs less than fifteen minutes when we have stir fry.

skewers on the grill are amazing, We did tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers onions and zucchini and then we marinated the steak in teriyaki sauce and grilled it with some onions..so yummy!
