Thanks for the replies. Yes I guess that would be a "homemaker." when the kids are in school. Even when both my kids are in school full time, I think I'd like to remain home so that I can be available for their activities and PTA etc. We can definitely afford me to stay at home and I like having my devotion and focus my kids and my house. And my hubby lol.
Dude. Youre gonna LOVE this. Cora starts full day head start in august. Clay will have an injome daycare sitter (in MY home) while im home- hahaha. But, ill have full time school online then. Ive been asked why i need a sitter while im home but you know why? 1. Because school is hard and clay needs attention 24/7. How am i supposed to get good grades if i cant focus on school? 2. Whats the matter with extra help? It would be nice if i could have someone vacuum for me since ill be crazy busy! 3. Im hoping the babysitter will be my friend and possibly have ackid clays age so he gets to socialize. Screw what others think.

You have to do what is best for you and your family. Who cares what others think. But I really do think you and Kevin should get on the baby making band wagon.
Quoting LEGENDARY JAS ♥:" That's something I would do too. I'm starting school full time in the fall and Isaiah will only be 3. Sera will be in school 5 days a week but only for half a day."
Are you going for your NP Jas?

I cant even put this kid down for two minutes how the heck could i do school without help, kwim?! He is a mommas boy. For sure.
Quoting LEGENDARY JAS ♥:" I want to, I really do. I'm going to start my BSN in the fall and I do want to go for my MSN eventually. That's so much school though but I am positive that its worth it."
I am currently debating going for it myself. I cant start in the fall tho because I will miss to much with the baby being born, so the earliest I could start is January. Which wouldnt be to bad, but I would have to do night classes with work and I wouldnt see the kids majority of the week.
Quoting LEGENDARY JAS ♥:" That's my deal. I'm contemplating not working at all and just being a full time student because I will die if I don't see my kids."
That is my thing too, I work weekends sometimes too, so I could really go almost 2 weeks without seeing them which would really suck.
I know around here it is easier to get into to a hospital or office if you have been at one while going to school. Most places hire within before the outside.
Quoting I'm Marbles:" I couldnt be a stay at home mom to begin with, but if the kids were in school I would really go crazy. ... [snip!] ... would really go crazy. I personally would get a part time job, or something to keep me busy. Or ya know pop out another kid. "
I used to work in a salon but decided to do hair from home a few hours a week. I have a child in high school, 2 in middle, and 1 in kindergarten. All of my children (and alot of there friends) count on me being home/available......so DH and i agreed that i wont be returning to the ''outside workforce'', (thats where your ''pop out another'' comes into play...... we have a 2yr old and a 4mo old also :) But if a women decides to be a homemaker once her children are grown , good for her!

Which I said........ Ik OP personally which is why I said pop another kid out. Lol.
<blockquote><b>Quoting LEGENDARY JAS ♥:</b>" Right? Which sucks when we move often. I don't want to work on base and I don't know anyone around here ... [snip!] ... I know tons back at home in Virginia. Hell, my mom has been working for Kaiser for 10+ years. I could easily get in there."</blockquote>
If you can get in somewhere where there are nation wide service where you could transfer easily would be your best bet with moving.
Both of my boys are in school. Evan goes Tuesday through Friday. 9-2. Zach goes Monday through Friday. 8-3. So I have plenty of alone time, but I also have plenty of things around the house to do while they are at school. Laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. As well volunteering in their classrooms. For awhile now though, I have been on modifed bedrest, so I am to rest more than to 'work'.
I am thankful to be a sahm/homemaker. It has it's ups and downs. Just like being a working mom or a mom that goes to school. It really is to each their own. Whatever works for you and your family :)
Quoting Steph+Alice+Caroline:" What do you do all day? Do people treat you like you're crazy for being a SAHM? My youngest recently ... [snip!] ... actually gotten a few comments asking why my youngest even goes to school. Um, to learn and socialize with friends...."
I am. My oldest is 7 and in school all day and my youngest is almost 4 and goes to preschool tues/thurs from 12:30-3:30
When im at home im doing laundry, preparing suppers and lunches for my husband...cleaning bathrooms. I only have 3 hours to myself 2 days a week when i have no kids...so thats not that much in that time i will try and do all the grocery shopping and things id rather do when they arent around. I dont ever find myself bored, or needing things to do. And soon my youngest will be in 3 days a week half days and ill have a new baby at home as well. So ill be back to being busy all day. Having her in preschool doesnt give me too much time by the time shes dropped off and i do a few things, im back there picking her up again.
I cant really say what i will do when all my kids are in school fulltime all day... All i know is my house will be spotless! And i will be less stressed :) haha
When that time comes i might go back to school or get a parttime job. But i dont need to too. So i dont have to if i dont want. But thats not for at least another 6-7 years so ill think about that when the time comes haa
Only my oldest is in school but right now i just do the usual, cook, clean, run errands, laundry, relax, reorganize stuff etc. When my youngest finally goes to school i'll more than likely get a job, i couldn't stay home with no kids.. For a few weeks maybe but any longer than that and i'd be doing nothing with my time.
Personally I would be attending college if my children were in school and I had nothing else to do with my time. I stay at home and attend full time school. My oldest is in preschool 3 times a week and my youngest stays home with me still. I'd get bored out of my mind personally but thats just me.
Well, my oldest is in preschool half days for 4 days a week, and my youngest, 18 months, stays home with me.
Once my oldest is in kindergarten next year I will still be at home with my youngest, but the year after when he is in grade one, I am going to put my then 3 year old in daycare and I will go work during the day.
The year after that I will be returning to school. Of course, summer vacation, I will switch my job to evenings just on weekends.
