I got a phone call from child support yesterday since i filed for it over a month ago and they asked me some questions and they said i qualify to recieve back child support so that was cool but i doubt i will ever see it. They also said they never recieved my exes paper work. They told me that doesnt effect my case any but now what happens? I just dont understand any of this and just want it to be over with already and im really hoping we dont have to go to court.

Usually you go to court.

At least I did and BD was compliant.

Most likely, if your ex is in arrears, they will take extra out of his paycheck until the back support is caught up. It doesn't come out all at once. If they never received his paperwork, I don't know what that will mean as far as having to go to court, unfortunately. As long as it doesn't affect your case, don't worry about it for now.

Typically they will tack on 20% until the back support is caught up. It took me 10 months before I ever received the first payment, that is how slow the court is here. If he doesn't fill out the paperwork they will just call his employer and figure out how much he makes.

Same here.

If you want back CS, you can get it if he file taxes and they automatically take what he owes out.

For me, DHR took the matter to court, and I didn't have to be there. My ex wasn't there either.
