Had a super easy delivery. So of course now I get heavy bleeding 9 days out. Smells rotten. And a fever. Well why not. Nothing like seeing the ob when your dumping nasty smelling blood. Can't wait for that call tomorrow. Anyone been thru this?
Well, I bled for 9 weeks but don't remember it having a bad smell... I'd def. be seen. Infection maybe? Especially since you have a fever as well...
fever and bad smell point out infection. hope you get seen very soon
CouLd be an infection which can get really bad, really fast. If your doctor will not see you today then go to the ER. I had a horrible infection after my last baby and within a day I seriously felt like I was dying. Luckily I got on an antibiotic regimen fast enough that I did not need to be hospitalized, but if you wait it could end up that way.
Thank you ladies. I noticed it for a few days but finally took my temp. I kept trying to tell myself it will quit. Obviously not. Its sooooo gross.
Quoting Sarah Beth Cline:" Thank you ladies. I noticed it for a few days but finally took my temp. I kept trying to tell myself it will quit. Obviously not. Its sooooo gross."
With the infection I had it did not smell, and in fact my bleeding was almost minimal. My symptoms were a high fever and horrible stabbing pains in my uterus. Felt like someone was clawing me to death.
With the smell and heavy bleeding id be extremely worried and get seen immediately. Definitely not normal. After birth bleeding should smell almost 'earthy.' is there a walk in clinic close by?
I don't think. All our urgent cares are closed. And so is the doctors office. I had a fever and weird smells with my first but I bled green. Now its red or brown and like a heavy period. And it seriously smells like something dead rotting. I am not an ER fan. Because I hemmoraged out from a cervical biopsy and they kept asking if it was my period until my blood test came back. And then they looked in there. I could of had my stitches and been on my way until they made me sit in my own blood and clots for hours then have 5 bags of fluid. I'm thinking about popping tylenol every 6 hours and laying around today. I'll watch the bleeding and fever
