I have been hired to be 3rd key at my new job, when the AM and the Manager are on the clock then I am going to be acting as Manager. Plus some of the woman are older then me. I've been warned that some of the girls will try to walk over me.

I don't want to be pushed around but I don't want to not to give respect. How do I do that.

My best advice would be to be respectful and treat them as the adults they are.

Don't lord it over them that you are the manager. However if they push you don't be afraid to take them aside (quietly) and have a word. You need to be firm too

I'm going to be the manager in my job when the current manager takes his new job. Most everyone knows about it (there's only 4 of us) and support me. Just treats them like you want to be treated. And don't push them too hard.

Just treat them like adults, and (hopefully), they will treat you with the same respect.

I couldn't tell you. I was a shift manager/leader at 16-17, most of the people I managed were older than me. It was a joke so I just became a b***h. :?
