My son is 13 months old and all day today he has been getting on my pillows or blankets laying on the floor and like "h*****g them..." at least thats what it seriously looks like. He also got into the laundry room on a pile of clothes and just kept doing it over and over. I had to keep getting him up and moving him but he would go back and just do it again!

Is this normal?! What the hell his he doing and why is he doing it?!

I Know that some toddlers do it as a comfort thing. I think it's normal... I'm not positive though. My son does that when He's trying to fall asleep.

According to my mom, I used to do that all the time when I was little. I called it my exercises. It was harmless.

My son does that..he gets super excited about blakets and pillows. He likes to bury his face in them. Essentially, he is jumping up and down due to excitement, but when he buries his face, it looks like h*****g.

Maybe he's bouncing on it? Sometimes my youngest will do that when he's excited or being goofy. He can't jump yet,... well.. not very well anyway... That's about as close as he can get.
