I was going to make ham and cabbage for my best friends birthday dinner tonight, BUT because it's February in upstate NY, we are going to be pounded with snow ( around 10 inches to a foot), she's not coming here anymore.
So my question is, would it be okay to make the base for the soup today and freeze it till Wednesday, or would that be yucky?
Should be just fine. Soups are awesome for freezing.
Quoting Rotton Kind of Cute:" Should be just fine. Soups are awesome for freezing."
Quoting Kayla [:)]♥:" Yep! Easy peasy freezing. If you freeze them in jars, leave space for the soup base to expand or the jars may crack."
And no one wants glass in their soup.
Quoting Kayla [:)]♥:" Well, you might not. I have several enemies who might enjoy it.......... Just kidding "
Lol. Good point. I'll keep that in mind when someone crosses me. :P
