So DD will be 11 months in a few days. She's been on mostly table foods for a least 2 months now because she was burning more calories than she was getting from formula (she still drank the same amount of formula, we just added the table food). Well we started the switch over to milk (she needs soy) and now she really doesn't want her formula at all which is fine. I'm just not sure what different meals to feed her. Before she was eating small amounts and was happy with just a single thing to eat as a serving but now she's getting bored and I want to make sure she's still getting all the important nutrients. Since my dad has really bad asthma her dr recommended waiting until 2 yrs to introduce the allergen foods so she could better voice if her throat was closing up so peanuts, fish, etc are out (unless the eggs are cooked in something..she loves french toast for example). What does your kid eat?
everything we eat.
Breakfast- pancakes, scrambled eggs, oatmeal,
Lunch- Fruit, baby carrots diced, grilled chicken, cheese cubes
Dinner- mac n chz, rice pilaf, any type of bean, potatoes, etc
I just cook my 13 months old food without seasonings but she eats whatever we're eating at the time
Quoting BareFootBabyMaker:" everything we eat. Breakfast- pancakes, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, Lunch- Fruit, baby carrots diced, ... [snip!] ... of bean, potatoes, etc I just cook my 13 months old food without seasonings but she eats whatever we're eating at the time"
I've been feeding her stuff we eat and she LOVES seasonings and dipping sauces, etc but DH is such a picky eater so we don't eat the best (I'm working on it thought) so I'm just really worried that she won't be getting everything she needs. I think I'm just freaking at the thought that she won't be on formula anymore :) My baby is growing way to fast :(
