I work in IT and we get this shit from the salvation army all the time. We provide their internet FOR FREE. Everytime someone calls they get a survey sent out ... how that survey is filled out either goes towards our bonus or against it. The Salvation Army always give a 0/0 and leave a message saying 'God provides all'.

I think the pastor was a jerk for not tipping and a bigger jerk for the note.
I also think the waitress posting it on the internet was immature and petty. You are SUPPOSED to be the "bigger person". Life happens and people can be real jerks. Gotta just deal with the small stuff, sometimes.
And then the waitress lost her job. WOW. Hope Pastor Bitchpants feels really good about herself. Aw, you wrote something shitty you didn't want people to see & then got called out on it. I love that she's all, "I had a lapse in judgment". I doubt it. I bet you felt pretty cool writing that until the whole world saw that you did it. She's sorry she got caught, not sorry for what she did.

Then maybe he should provide their internet.

I agree. Her ass should have been fired. As an employee - you have no right to publicly b***h about a customer, no matter how rude they were or how unhappy you were with what they said or did. If it was a violation of your rights or you were assaulted...then fine. If you are butthurt that they were rude - well welcome to the service industry. Waitressing isn't uniquely full of asshat customers that are absent in other areas of service jobs. I get it - the minister was a jerk. The minister was also the CUSTOMER in this interaction...the waitress was an employee & posting something like the receipt publicly is a reflection on the BUSINESS she WORKS for. I have owned a business. I would have fired her too. Employees do not often make you money, unless they are TRULY exceptional. Yes, they are there to offer services, but there are usually a number of other qualified people at your disposal in a pile of resumes on your desk every single day. Waitresses are literally a dime a dozen in this market & good ones too. Repeat business makes you money & publicly embarrassing a customer, even an asshat one, isn't something most businesses can afford to stand behind, even if they think the customer is an asshat too. What they did in firing her, is smart business practice. She had every right to go home & b***h to her friends, posting it online takes it to an entirely different realm.
