FTM here...ladies who already have babies, in your opinion what's the best breast pump to use? Is it inexpensive?
For my daughter, I had the Evenflo double electric pump. It was only $50, and it got the job done, but I plan on getting a Medela this time. They're hospital grade and they're high quality.
I work full time, so I pump at work. My son has been in daycare since 7 weeks of age, and he just turned 1 on the 18th, so Ive used mine a long time. I have the Medela Pump In Style Advanced. Love it. It's made working and breastfeeding possible. It was not cheap.... 270-ish? But well worth it.
Yea. I was thinking medela. I've heard it's the best.. Thank you!
I had a medela electric for my son, and they gave me a medela hand pump when I was in the hospital unable to breastfeed (morphine drip, ugh!). They seem to work really well, and if you get the electric, its easier to get back to work, as long as you have a private area you can pump in - it takes about 10 minutes :)
Medela Pump In Style.... but they are kind of expensive.
Your health insurance may cover a rental or purchase. :)
i got a medela, the expenive double electric one. i loved it, however my son didnt take to breastfeeding well, and after trying to pump i lost my supply after only a week of using it. so i kinda wish i bought the cheaper swing pump rather than the double electric. it was easier to pump just one side at a time anyway.
I use the Lansinoh Affinity double electric pump and it works pretty good. I've been pumping and working for the past 2 weeks now and have been able to pump enough milk for my son during the day. I didn't have the money to buy a Medela as I wanted and was able to find this pump brand new off of Amazon for $91 (I searched for a few days before purchasing) and it was originally $130. I also had a $25 Amazon gift card so that saved me even more, plus free shipping!
