My son is almost 8 weeks old, and he goes cross eyed. Its starting to bug me. So im going to make an eye appointment for him. SO's mom said they don't put glasses on young babies. Like hell they don't. My friend has a little girl who wears glasses from 2 months til now. I really don't like her. grr.

but does any other mamas realize their LO has gone cross eyed? Did you take them to the doctor?

Just curious.

Talk to your Pedi first. Doing a certain amount of eye crossing is normal until a certain age & not indicative of an eye problem. They'll probably tell you this is you call to make an appt for such a young baby though.

Lol, it bugs you?

He's a newborn, a lot of newborns eyes go crossed eyed sometimes, it's really nothing to get annoyed about.

Babies have a hard time focusing on things. Give him some time to adjust. All babies do this for a little while.

You do realize that's what babies do right? Its pretty sad that your baby learning how to control and focus his eyes bugs you.....

Cross eyed runs in both sides of our families thats why. & the doctor at children's before he got out 3 days ago said it was fine to make an appointment for his eyes because its genetic in our families.

It's normal for an 8 week old to do that. The baby's eyes are still learning how to focus. Now, if it happens close to a year, that's when you should be concerned and no, they usually will not put glasses on a little, little baby, it's bad for their eyes unless they see an actual problem that needs corrected.

DD's eyes used to do that. she also had a bit of a lazy eye for a couple of months. she outgrew it i guess. doesn't have it anymore and no problems.

My dad has to have surgery done so many times, but still has a lazy eye.

And SO has a slight lazy eye too if your really look at his eyes.
