I need a recipe for chicken and dumplings. I have a big roaster chicken, and i will be using bisquik for the dumplings. i dont want any vegetables in it. and..........go!

We Always boiled the chicken and then made the dumplings in the water after taking the chicken out.

I use a ton of veggies so my recipe wouldn't work.
To make the sauce, I make a roux of butter, onions, and flour. Add milk and chicken stock until its more like gravy than broth. Keep stirring.
The chicken I cook ahead of time. I boil it for awhile until its really tender and then I shred or cut it and throw it in the "gravy" mixture. Add some more milk, some more chicken sauce, and seasoning.
About 10-15 minutes before I want to eat, I mix up the dumplings. I add garlic salt, salt, pepper and a bit of chicken boullion to the Bisquick mixture. Drop them in, cover them, and let them simmer until they rise and are doughy and perfect.
