Eh. It's not just splurging. When you are poor and shop at thrift shops and Walmart, you think "someday I'll be able to shop the one-day sales at Macy's"
Then, you make enough money to not just shop the one-days, but to shop the regular sales.
Yes, the is an aspect of human nature to keep wanting the next level.

If I won that kind of money I'd share it with strangers so yes definetly share with family, close or not.

That's what I'm saying. Sorry this post is selfish as f**k.

My Mom is owed a lot of money from a lawsuit... like millions of dollars. She doesnt like my now ex-SO that much but even still, she would buy him a house and make sure that first off, his son has college paid for. She would provide for her kids, my half sister, and donate to a few charities my grandfather would of wanted money going into. But to just be all "Oh you'd waste it on stupid shit," seriously, that's dumb. When my Mom gets her settlement we are going to Vegas and having an insane weekend on "stupid shit" but who cares, have some fun in your life and who cares if others have fun. Its selfish as hell to say that people should spend money the way YOU want!

You would be completely capable of working too.... so would your SO. I guess that means you can't use that money then!

I'm rich. I shop at Walmart. I'm refering to how shopping habits evolve. I will always shop for bargains but i now can afford to buy things that arent on sale but are convenient and i can afford to buy items that are made in the US.
When you have a lot of money in the bank, you start to expand your "horizons."

oh definitely! I'm sure if I were rich, I'd certainly shop at finer stores more often.
