Quoting Ravey Candyass:" Finally. I'm tired of looking at skinny ass ones. I need one closer to my weight, so i can see how the clothes will really look."
Quoting Krystal +2 Boys:" I don't think much of it, but I don't like the twig ones I mean why not make a normal size one not everybody ... [snip!] ... make one that is a normal size?? But eh we'll it gives people a example of what the cloths will look like on a bigger person"
"Normal" sized is overweight/obese.
The average size in the US for a woman is a 14. That's considered overweight/obese...
I weight 225 and wear a loose 16.
Quoting Jas ♥:" Offended? No. It looks ridiculous though. Probably because its head is so tiny. I''ve seen plus sized mannequins and they don't look anything like this."
Yeah, the head looks ridiculous..lol
Quoting wombie:" Offended? no.......I mean, if they're selling plus size clothing, I think it's pretty appropriate to ... [snip!] ... a plus size mannequin. Now, the mannequin's head is a different story. It's freakin me out and it reminds me of this  "
YES!..haha. I was thinking of that too.
Quoting Jas ♥:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Spencer Pratt:</b>" <blockquote><b>Quoting Andi+Andy=Marley+1:</b>" ... [snip!] ... his body, they didn't make his face realistic to his body."</blockquote> Plus sized and obese ate two different things."
I'm a 16 and obese. It's probably my body structure but eh. If going by BMI, I'm definitely obese.
Quoting Colt's mommy:" No, i don't think so. Plus sized is obese, bigger than that is morbidly obese. It's just an ugly word ... [snip!] ... don't like. Unless you mean that I'm plus sized because I wear size 9 pants, even though I'm at my correct BMI for my height."
A size 9 is not plus size.
12+ is considered as such.
Quoting Colt's mommy:" wait...I read your question wrong, lol.... The main argument that has any validity (imo) is children ... [snip!] ... and thinking that it's normal to be obese. There were some other comments, but being on FB, they were mostly asinine, lol."
Um...I'm sure they see obese people...
So does seeing the stick thin ones normalize anorexia? (not that I necessarily think they're anorexic, but they're far from average)
Quoting Tarynosaurus Rex:" I mean, there is a difference in being obese and being overweight. Not every overweight person is obese, ... [snip!] ... that thin isn't always healthy. (And I'm not saying you are expressing disgust at this or anything, but just in general terms.)"
Quoting Colt's mommy:" It's not really someones weight that I see an issue with, it's their unhealthy habits. And most of the ... [snip!] ... didn't know a better way to word it...). That's why I don't dissagree with restricting drink size and other things like that."
You're assuming that all obese people eat like that though...
Quoting Colt's mommy:" lol, whatever! I have a lot more empathy for people with medical issues now. Since I was pregnant and ... [snip!] ... how could anyone get addicted to them knowing they constipate you so much!! omg, that was one of my worst pregnancy symptoms :("
Self inflicted? Stop assuming again...lol
Quoting Colt's mommy:" What do you think of this mannquin? Are you "offended" by it? It was posted on my FB page and there's ... [snip!] ... to their demographic though. I am not offended by this, nor will I probably think about it again after this discussion, lol. "
I'm more offended by the super small head, lol.
But no, I am not offended.
