We do that too but that's really it. DH and I both work and we both pick up around the house daily. I cannot stand to go to bed with it messy.

I'd leave. That's BS! A relationship should be 50/50. I work from home and hubby outside the home but we generally share the duties. I clean a bit more b/c I'm home but he helps a lot too.

Well, that breaks my heart.

OP, I hope you read all of this, take a step back and really look around you. Clean up that 1 bedroom you have to keep clean and do what's best for your LO. Save money, do what you have to do to care and provide for her and don't allow her to live in filth and think that that is all OK.

I know! Shit.. we both work. He works overtime & weekends. We have three kids, a big dog.... and our house wouldn't get that messy if I didn't clean in a MONTH. My kids wouldn't even let it get that messy. She has one child, clearly has free time if she's on here... and it's that filthy? I could clean that shit out in an hour. Give me some garbage bags!

sorry he treated you like that. maybe you two can clean it together? Regardless, my DDs bed would at least be clean. but if you are working and hes not then he should be helping clean it also. You said that he threw all that crap around but where was it before that.
Calling you lazy is uncalled for. at least you are up working to support your family. he should at least as the common decency to clean the mess that he made.

Oh my god OP! Clean!!!!! That's disgusting. Turn off your computer for a day and clean your room, and give away some of the junk to the goodwill. I don't blame your SO I would never sleep in there.

OP, the way he talked to you was shitty, and I do agree he needs to help. But, if he isn't going to, you need to clean it and keep it clean for your child. I feel so bad for her standing there in the huge huge piles of stuff. She should be able to live in a clean and uncluttered environment. That's really sad.

If you don't have room for all of that stuff, get rid of some of it or organize better. They sell tubs that are slim and will slide under the beds, put up some shelving, or something to get that stuff off the floor/beds.

Oh, same. We only have LB and ourselves but it would never get even close to being that messy. I refuse to live in filth. When I was 12 or so, my room looked like that but since then, I've been organized and whatnot. Everything has place and it's not on the floor. Shit, we have a one bedroom and we make do just fine. I just looked around and the only thing that needs to be done in my house is a few toys need to be picked up and the floor needs to be vacuumed which will be done tomorrow because we have a to =get a new vacuum. So excited over a damn vacuum.:lol:

According to her, she works and he stays at home. So, I think he needs to be cleaning as well.
