Do any of you lady know how to make them from fresh yams?
My family has always used canned yams. This year I'm making them for thanksgiving with fresh ones, but I'm not sure how long I should cook them or how much brown sugar I use for fresh ones. Recipes anyone?
If that's the same as sweet potatoes....bake in oven about an hour. Check when they are softer. Then peel away skin and put in what you want in baking dish and put in oven :)
