Never never never. I don't even pull out of the drive way/ parking space until she's buckled in! And she's not allowed to unbuckle until the car is shut off

No I would never. If we are on a long trip we just make stops at a place like Chick Fil A or McDonalds that has a play place so DD can play for a bit while we stretch out and eat so she can burn off some pent up energy. I could never live with myself if one of my children died in a crash just because I was too negligent to keep them strapped in their seats. We are making a 15 hour drive in March to move back home and I'm sure it will be more like a 2 day ordeal bc I will be BFing, and we will have to stop every time she wants to eat. So I won't even take my child out for BFing or even bottle feeding for that matter bc she will still need to be burped. Its just not worth saving the extra few hours.

No.

We drove 24 hours to Texas, and 24 hours back a week later over the summer. My son was fine in his seat, and when he got cranky we just stopped and let him walk around outside for a bit.

No way in hell. We don't have a car, and take the transit bus all over town, and I'm the ONLY parent who bothers to use a carseat with my kid. I've seen newborns held in their parents arms, almost FLY out of the mothers arms because the bus came to a sudden stop. I lug a 30 pound carseat on the bus, and my daughter is almost 4 years old. I would never take her anywhere for any reason without being securely buckled into a carseat.

I mean, hell, if I won't go a mile down the road on the bus without her being securely strapped in, I certainly wouldn't travel that way haha

Busses here don't have seatbelts. Or time to secure one.

The only time my child will not be in a seatbelt is when they are on a school bus as there aren't any seatbelts and there's nothing I can do about it
