I think it's fine. If it works for you, go for it. People who think it's 'lazy' have obviously never tried to make a tired child walk when he/she does not want to.

Quoting Alicia Holz:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Kelly&Coralie:</b>" I know But for some reason I'm a bit ... [snip!] ... to walk literally everywhere, it's just not realisitic"</blockquote> you should get her a wagon i bet she would love"

Wagons are giant and no different from using a stroller.

Quoting Kelly&Coralie:" When you see 4-5-6 and older kids in a stroller, what do you think?"

Nothing. I know when I was 4 sometimes when I got tired I'd ask to ride in the stroller and my mom let me. I see nothing wrong with it. Unless it's used ALOT.

My almost 5 year old still rides in one. Shit I'm almost 22 and I'd ride in one if someone would push me.

I have at times let my DD (5 years old) sit in the stroller with her brother in her lap if she is getting tired because we have walked a lot.

Mine wouldn't ever ride in them past 3 or so, but I don't care what other people do...

If they fit in it then I really don't care. I wouldn't even notice.

Quoting Jas ♥:" I try not to judge. I don't know the reasons why he/she may be in a stroller."

:!: This.

But if we're at the mall and I see a dang 10 year old running around playing then go and sit in a stroller I wonder what the hell is wrong with their feet making them unable to walk after playing. Can't walk, then ya can't play.. oh well.

i don't care what other people do, don't even really notice.

I would think a 4yr old is too but whatever. A 5 6 yr old is like come on let the child walk. I know I damn sure not pushing a 6 yr old around f$^^ that.

I might raise an eyebrow at a 6 year old in a stroller, but I don't really see an issue with it. Different kids have different limits for long walks. It all depends.

I have a 2 and 3 year old, and we hardly ever use the stroller for either of them. I think the last time we used it was over the summer when we were at Disney. Not only did we do a lot of walking, but we were at the park until like 1am so they'd get tired. Once mine got really good at walking, neither of them really wanted to ride in the stroller anymore so it was never an issue for us.

I don't really judge other people for using their strollers past a certain age, since it's not something I've really had to think about with my own kids. haha

My son really hasn't been in a stroller since 18 mo-2ish. When my sister came to visit with my 15 month old niece, we went for about a 2 mile walk both ways and my son actually wanted me to push him in his old stroller b/c baby Allie was in hers. He can walk that distance easily on a normal basis. I don't judge people if their older child is in a stroller. Unless of course the kid is overweight & needs the exercise.

I dont plan to be ever pushing a big 4-5-6 year old in a stroller, but I dont have to walk anywhere or take the bus so I dont have that worry. Also, I generally DGAF what others parents do with their kids. I admit, If I see a big kid in a stroller Ill wonder in my head why they are not walking, but I just keep it moving.
