I dont think its that bad, I know A LOT of people who buy their 5 y/o tablets/i Pad/phones. Theres educational stuff, and they even have like a leapfrog or something that like protects the iPad and you can download cool apps for them.

I do agree though cause I didn't have a cell phone till middle school. There is also a lot of 12 y/o on Facebook and twitter, all that jazz. Acting alot older then they are and its baffling

It's not the technology that's the problem; the list of grievances laid out in this thread lie solely with the abilities of these parents to foster morals and character within their children. Thankless children without correction will turn into thankless adults and that is entirely their parents fault.

If I want to spend a few hundred on a piece of technology for my kid, that's my choice to make with my hard earned paycheck. I know how to handle my kids, I know what mix of things and activities they need to succeed into productive individuals and I afford them all that I can on that front. I'll not be fine with being judged for it or lumped into a category of shit parents but it is what it is. Boo hoo.
